Kuhn North America, Inc.

Kuhn North America, Inc., a member of the worldwide KUHN Group, is a leading innovator in agricultural and industrial equipment. We specialize in hay, livestock, tillage, and nutrient-application tools that help producers feed, clothe, and fuel a growing world. Our machines present an outstanding ownership experience and a strong return on investment, thanks to their industry-leading performance and quality supported by a dedicated network of over 1,300 dealer locations throughout the United States and Canada.

Use of fertilizer is essential in achieving profitable crop yields; however, the environmental sensitivity to the management of these fertilizers has never been more evident or in the public eye. Environmental conservation and producer profitability are equally important components of long-term sustainable production agriculture. KUHN firmly supports 4R Nutrient Stewardship practices as an effective means to both ends. Applying the right products at the right time, at the right rate, and in the right place keeps them out of sensitive areas while putting money into the producer’s pocket through reduced input costs and increased yield.

We offer equipment to match a wide range of conservation practices relating to nutrient application and cover crops. Our KUHN Axis® and Axent™ precision fertilizer spreaders utilize cutting-edge technology to offer the most precise rate control and spread patterns available in a broadcast spreader for both dry fertilizer and seeds. Solutions such as AccuSpread® spinners and a variety of scale options available on our KUHN Knight manure spreaders help livestock producers best take advantage of this important source of nutrients.

Our KUHN Krause Gladiator® strip tillage system creates a precise strip, while forming an ideal seedbed and placing either dry or liquid fertilizer approximately 6-8” deep in the row prior to planting. Through our partnership with Montag, we also offer fertilizer systems which can be equipped with variable rate and section control to ensure fertilizer is placed where it is most needed.

Finally, the KUHN Krause Excelerator® vertical tillage system combined with our CCX 9000 cover crop seeder allows vertical tillage and cover crop establishment to take place in a single pass. Cover crops are able to sequester nutrients, making them available to the following crop and preventing them from leaching into lakes and waterways.
